Your brand and your products are unique. Our task and our claim is to showcase this perfectly. With over 30 years of experience in transportation design, we cover the entire process: Ideation, market research, interior and exterior design, 3D CAD data, visualizations, VR applications - up to the detailed implementation for series production.
Starting from an ergonomic study iDS developed the VÆRIDION Cockpit based on pilot's needs and functionality. The Cockpit design continues the high class cabin design, combining highest safety standards with unparralelled comfort.
Final Mock up review at ABU Fertigungstechnik premises with VÆRIDION, iDS and ABU.
iDS made the cockpit ergonomics study and designed the mock up for D328eco together with test-pilots including the cockpit lighting as well as a VR visualization of the cockpit highlighting the innovative features.
iDS developed various innovative sanitary concepts for Deutsche Bahn, combining ergonomics for passengers and staff, hygienic aspects with special surfaces and shapes for easy and fast cleaning and economic aspects for efficient manufacturing on the smallest possible footprint by combining and interleaving multiple units.
This particular design shows a barrier-free universal lavatory combined with a single lavatory, which can also be used as an universal lavatory by moving the partition wall, if the original universal lavatory would be inoperative.
The analysis, elaboration and evaluation of various layout concepts for the B747 led to a business class layout with an additional seat row.
Interior Design of the entire cabin including cabin lining, overhead bins, monuments, placards, colour and trim concept and lighting design. Design lead: Prof. Werner Granzeier
Cabin refurbishment with new overhead bins, new ceiling panels and LED lighting
728JET cockpit design from the first sketch to ergonomics studies with pilots, optimized lighting design and pre-construction CAD data to the 1:1 sales mock up.
728JET Cabin Interior Design of the entire 728JET including cockpit, cabin, lavatories, monuments, placards, colour and trim. IDS achieved a homogeneous cabin illumination with ceiling lights installed on one side only by the geometric optimization of the ceiling panel.
C919 Lavatory: In the initial phase of the design process, sketches of design impressions convey initial information and are useful to create an emotional link between the client and his new products.
The High Integrated Flexible Lavatory (HILA) offers more space, convenience, comfort and better hygiene due to its flexible concept. The development group, consisting of AIRBUS, DASELL / DIEHL and iDS Hamburg, received the international design award Crystal Cabin Award 2010.
Sports Utility Jet Interior inspired by automotive design: The cabin for four passengers and two pilots is designed as an integrated interior solution for a private customer. In the design development of the cabin, we paid attention to both the overall appearance and the details, resulting in a timeless and high-quality design.
Cockpit design for the entire Stemme S6 series by iDS industrial Design Studio: By consistently using high-quality automotive interior materials, we have succeeded in defining a whole new level of quality in terms of ergonomics and design in the field of two-seater sports and general aviation aircraft. The prototype was successfully presented at various aviation exhibitions.
DLR Laboratory Wagon D I R K 'Demonstrator for Innovations in Travel Comfort and Air Conditioning' Exterior graphic design for the new laboratory wagon DIRK for the German Aerospace Center (DLR). iDS and DB Systemtechnik jointly produced a 3D print model for evaluation. It has now entered the realization phase.
Together with DLR Göttingen, iDS industrial Design Studio has developed a new double-decker high-speed train: Next Generation Train (NGT). The main criteria are excellent passenger comfort and improved aerodynamics for high speed.
NGT Interior Design: The panoramic view on the upper deck offers passengers a unique experience. On the main deck there is enough space for PRM (persons with reduced mobility), the passenger compartment is barrier-free and efficient lighting ensures good light ergonomics.
Next Generation Train NGT optimized CAD model with Class A surfaces, DLR wind tunnel in Göttingen (Germany)
GT Racing Car: Exterior design (body) for a private customer as a concept study. The individual development started with the analysis of the ergonomic dimensioning, which led to a coordinated package and finally to the construction of the body surface data.
DRYMER concept study: "Sporty like a bike, comfortable like a car" is the philosophy behind this innovative concept study for DRYMER. Key features are comfort, design, durability and simplicity for different users such as young and older people.
